This model allows the practitioner to spend more time with the patient. In the healthcare world with insurance i was forced to see patients in a 15 minute time slot (at the most if i was lucky to get that much time) which is not fair to the patient or the practitioner. Patients deserve more time for their healthcare! Functional Now accepts fewer patients than a typical traditional practice so that I can provide a stronger relationship with my patients, allowing for more individualized and comprehensive care. In my experience patients in the setting of direct primary care have better health outcomes and are much more satisfied. By removing insurance I am able to increase my time together with the patient because I am seeing fewer patients per day, delivering outstanding personalized care, advocate for you as a patient and in a result decrease healthcare costs.

Yes. Functional Now recommends carrying health insurance to support costs not associated with this practice.

Labs, vaccines and imaging can all be billed to your insurance just as they would with any other practice. We do not keep vaccines in house and we can direct you to an outside facility for vaccines for all ages. Functional Now has integrated with labcorp for significantly reduced prices in labs if a patient is choosing to not use heath insurance for labs. If appropriate, we can draw labs in the office and send them to the lab.

No. Your visits are covered in your membership. If the patient does require medication administered in office the price for that medication or procedure would be openly discussed prior to the procedure and offered at a significantly reduced price.

At Functional Now I am a non-participating provider of medicare. I am still able to refer to specialists, imaging facilities, labs, and hospitals.

Direct to patient primary care models do not accept insurance as this is an alternative model to healthcare and we do not file insurance claims for you. If you have a health savings account (HSA) you may be able to submit invoices for hsa reimbursement. You may use your hsa account to pay for your memberships fees. We accept HSA/FSA, ACH and credit card as payment.

Patients can cancel their membership at anytime by providing the office with a 30-day written cancellation notice. Any fees for that month will be pro-rated to the respective date.

Yes. I am a family nurse practitioner and in the state of Ohio the law requires NPs to have a collaborating physician. I have a collaborating physician who specializes in functional medicine.

Happily married to her husband Justin since 2010, Ashley is also a devoted mother to two vibrant daughters, Arabella and Adeline.
With a diverse background in pediatrics, primary care, internal medicine, home health, genetics, geriatrics, and functional medicine, Ashley brings a holistic and compassionate approach to patient care. Her expertise spans from bio-identical hormone replacement therapy to addressing the specialized healthcare needs of geriatric patients.
